Where do bartenders make the most money?


According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor statistics, bartenders in the Kahului-Wailuku-Lahaina areas of Hawaii and in Honolulu, HI make the most money. The mean hourly wage is $25.57 and $21.14, respectively.

Bartenders in the continental United States, prepare to be jealous: bartenders in the hot tourist areas of Hawaii make the most money on average, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Kahului-Wailuku-Lahaina pays the most, with the mean hourly wage of $25.57 per hour. Honolulu comes next at $21.14.

Of course, their living expensive area probably quite a bit higher, too.  The cost of living in Honolulu is more than twice that of many mainland cities such as Dallas. So bartenders in Hawaii need to make more money just to make ends meet.

Keep in mind that these numbers are just the mean, and many bartenders earn much more.
